Step 1: Pre-Emergence Crab Grass Control: March 1st-May 30th
An application to control the germination and growth of annual
grass type weeds such as crabgrass. The application can be liquid or
granular dependent on the needs of the area.
Step 2: Broadleaf Weed Control:
May 15th – Oct. 15th
An
application to control unwanted broadleaf weeds after they have
emerged. As always this is a spot application. Regular visits to the
property to control weeds in their early stages reduces the amount
of control product used. The application is generally liquid.
Step 3: Fertilization:
October 1st-December 31st
This is a granular product that is applied with a spreader. Fertilizer
provides the grass with the nutrients necessary for green color and
root growth. There are two treatments of this product: one in early
fall and the other in early winter. The second application gives the
turf winter protection.
